The information presented at the Colorectal Cancer Awareness Wellness Campaign was the first in a series to educate the public about the prevention and cures available to those who are at risk. Dr. Aronoff was chosen because of his expertise as a colon and rectal surgeon for more than 20 years. His affiliation with Lenox Hill Hospital and Mt. Sinai Beth Israel provide him with a wealth of information and experience when discussing prevention through screening as well as prevention by managing risk factors such as diet, weight, smoking, alcohol and physical activity.
On March 7, 2018 Dr. Aronoff addressed an audience of distinguished guests to explain how Colorectal Cancer is being managed by innovative technology and lifestyle changes. Presented by Human Capital Management (HCM) – NYC Department of Social Services at 4 World Trade Center at the James R. Dumpson Center, the Colorectal Cancer Awareness Campaign included testimonial from colorectal cancer survivor Rebecca Kirchheimer who shared her hope that cancer screening and lifestyle changes continue to be promoted for the health and well being of everyone.
