Dr. Aronoff recently operated on Emmy Award-winning television news anchor Kaity Tong after she had the scare of her life when her colon ruptured. Best known for her work on the 6:30 pm news on PIX11 News, Tong is one of the most popular television personalities on news television.
In May 2018 Tong experienced severe abdominal complications in her abdomen, and she required two surgeries to correct acute gastrointestinal perforation. She recently thanked Dr. Aronoff and the staff at Lenox Hill Hospital for “saving my life.” During her broadcast, Tong expressed her gratitude for surviving the unexpected and life-threatening illness.
Kaity Tong is one of New York’s most recognizable spokeswomen and is actively involved with various charitable organizations including the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, League for the Hard of Hearing, Friends for Life and the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. Tong received the “Exceptional Achievement Award” from The Women’s Project.
